Tickets available!

Hello there, folks!

QuakeJon 2009's venue is finally confirmed as available, and so ticket sales on the shop are open. Location information is available to registered users on the site, so if you're coming and need to know the way, register/login.

Tickets are available by paying Jon or Phil in cash in person, transferring the money to our bank accounts directly (for which you need to ask us details, personally), or through the store, with payment via PayPal.

There are max 30 PC places; though we should be able to accomodate more people if necessary, no more hardware will fit in the house. These places are first come first serve. There will be "spare" PC's about to a point, so worry not if your machine sucks/dies/can't be transported, we will do what we can. It would be great to register/post on the forums with regard to the machine(s) you will be bringing.

The event is to take place from 12:00pm Friday August 21st, to 10:00pm Sunday August 23rd, officially. Any informal extension is at the liberty, and subject to the whims, of the hosts. ;)

Ticket prices are as follows: Friday: £2; Saturday: £4.50; Sunday: £4.50 or the Full Weekend Combo: £10. Observative readers will notice it is cheaper to buy separately if you aren't attending the whole thing, but to get the combo if you ARE.

Please get on the forums and let's start getting the hype going for this year's event - it's now less than 4 weeks away! You can discuss the excellent features of 2009's LAN:

A different house! - A new house, a better house, a bigger house; THAT house!

2 "Team" Rooms! - The LAN will be semi-split between two adjacent rooms; fear not, there's none of the isolation corner like in Swindon, but it does open up natural teamplay opportunities.

2 Toilets! - No longer must ye wait in anticipation of the little gamer's room being vacated; simply use the other one!

Dolphin Paradise™! - it's a surprise...!

CakeJon™ 2009! - I will personally spend at least a day of the preceding week PURELY BAKING (And watching The Matrix, but never you mind about that). Any and all attendees are welcome, and indeed encouraged, to bring a radiant muffin of their own design!

SteakJon™ 2009! - The prospect of a barbecue MeatFest™ coinciding with this year's event is a very real one; one that we hope to be able to make come true!

BlizzJon™ 2009! - Every year that QJ manages to coincide with BlizzCon (as it does this year) we make very special effort to honour Blizzard Entertainment. As such, there will be extra focus on Starcraft, D2/Titan Quest, Warcraft III (especially Tower Defense and Footman Frenzy, but also some real skirmishes). There may also be some WoW stuff (I'm thinking dance contest, and a complete public viewing of Tales of the Past).

Matt Fryett™ 2009! - That's right folks, he's BACK by popular demand! Don't miss out on Fryett's return to The 'Jon.

All this, and MORE (!) at QuakeJon™ 2009!
